Mushrooms

Out In It's Element

What a difference weather can make. This is a shot shortly after the stone mushroom was placed.

 

 And this is what it looks like now. The elements have really brought the colours out. It's a pity the camera can't pick out the flecks of mica too, it's really quite stunning out in the sun.

The Doctor Who installation is complete.

The alien landscape has really grown since the Dalek moved in. K-9 is now keeping an eye on him, to make sure he doesn't go on the rampage and some other strange little creatures and plant life have also taken up residence.

Explosion Of Life

This is another sculpture that has a very organic feel to it. The work is  mainly constructed of bottles and was put to Bruce as a challenge, and of course he couldn't pass up giving it a go.

Stone Mushroom.

A new mushroom has been added to the garden just recently. This one definitely has a very different look about it than the ones that have been gracing the garden so far. It had a rather organic/ prehistoric feel to it and it will be interesting to see how it weathers over the years.

Small Sculptures.

Throughout the Studio's history there have been some large and memorable sculptures made. They are bold and stand out in the memory. But there are also small sculptures, little treasures that can grace small nooks in a garden or house.

These can be as intricate and time consuming as their larger cousins, or as simple As you like.
